We can help you to learn the skills and coping tools needed to find your joy again, and to take charge of your life. We are here to help you better understand how your depression works and how to relieve your painful and debilitating symptoms.

While there is no one-size-fits-all cure for depression, we know how to help you relieve it, manage it, and understand it so you can get back to living your life and doing the things that you love.

Anxiety Therapy

We can help you to learn the skills and practice coping tools needed to soothe and regulate anxiety, and to help you better understand yourself, how your mind works, and how to create an internal sense of safety that isn’t reliant on external circumstances or behaviors.

The ACED clinicians are trained and experienced in working with all of the different presentations of anxiety. We employ multiple therapy methodologies, depending on your unique goals and needs, preferences, history, and genetics. Examples are: Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Somatic Experiencing (SE), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

We’re here to help you get back to the things you love, and to better care for yourself.

Trauma Therapy

Experiencing a traumatic event can change the way you see the world, and can change the way you see and experience your own self. Your identity may feel shaky, and your relationships, your work or school life, and your ability to care for yourself may be suffering.

Another kind of trauma, relational, attachment, or developmental trauma, is not a singular event, but rather a persistent experience of abuse or neglect in an important relationship chronically over time. Emotional neglect by a parent growing up is an example of this, along with the more well known kinds of abuse/neglect, such as bullying or gaslighting.

Trauma can impact your sense of self on a profound level, which can affect every other part of your life. The clinicians at ACED are experienced and trained to help you to reprocess traumatic experiences and heal.

OCD Therapy

The ACED team is fully specialized in OCD, and can help you to learn the skills and coping tools needed to turn away from obsessions and the unwanted intrusive thoughts, behaviors, or compulsions that follow. We are here to help you better understand yourself, how your mind works, and how to create an internal sense of safety that isn’t as reliant on external circumstances or behaviors.

Through evidence-based techniques and therapies, we will assist you in gaining a deeper understanding of your thought patterns and how your mind works. Our goal is to empower you to cultivate an internal sense of safety that is not solely dependent on external circumstances or behaviors.

By equipping you with these invaluable skills, we can help you regain control over your life and live with greater freedom and peace of mind.

ADHD & Neurodivergence Therapy

We are so glad that ADHD (Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder) & ADD diagnoses are getting more attention, since folks have been struggling with these symptoms for so long without any help.

The ACED clinicians are trained to and experienced to help you manage any difficulties associated with ADHD, ADD, and Autism Spectrum disorders. We understand that neurodivergence is a gift and that your brain simply works differently than others.

Since a particular eating disorder, ARFID, can co-occur with neurodivergence, the ACED dietitians are also trained and experienced to help you with any problematic symptoms associated with ADHD or Autism Spectrum.
